Welcome to Historic Hibbing High School
As you approach the majestic building, you know that you are in a special place with a real treat when you enter. The artwork and brass handrails that greet you once inside lead you to a multi-faceted building that serves as a high school and a community treasure.
The 1800 seat auditorium, modeled after the Capital Theater in New York City has recently been refurbished through the generosity of many friends of the school and is a site rivaled by no other place. Our staff works hard to preserve and polish this historic building and take great pride in every aspect of the school.
The students may not totally grasp the beauty and majesty until they are gone from these halls, but all will come back to experience and appreciate the space that they called home for six years.
In addition to the beauty of the building, Hibbing High School offers a wide array of curriculum offerings with the latest technology. The two swimming pools and four gymnasiums provide space for our children to maintain a level of fitness that will serve them throughout life. Fine Arts activities are a priority for all to enjoy. With the support of the School Board, we are able to offer and maintain our programs that sets us apart from many other schools.
Bluejacket Career Academies helps students focus their educational plan toward one of the six career pathways that will enhance their training in a given field. The pathways are Education and Child Care, Health Careers, Performing Arts and Communication, Engineering and Engineering Technology and Building and Trades. Partnering with higher education and business partners will be an exciting new opportunity for our students and local businesses.
Hibbing High School is a safe and caring environment with highly qualified and dedicated instructional staff that deliver a diverse and challenging curriculum.
These great attributes combined with a supportive community, hardworking students and “Bluejacket Pride” makes Hibbing High School an undisputed leader in academics, fine arts, activities, and athletics.
